Projects
Engineering in Practice
Selected assignments demonstrating HyCa Technologies' technical range across water treatment, wastewater management and water-body restoration.
Water-Body Rejuvenation
Bindusagar Lake, Bhubaneswar
Technical work associated with the treatment of Bindusagar Lake used hydrodynamic cavitation reactor systems for lake-water recirculation. Monitoring recorded visible improvement in water clarity in treated zones, turbidity reduction from approximately 15–17 NTU to less than 2 NTU and a reduction in BOD during the monitored period.
- Hydrodynamic cavitation reactor systems for recirculation
- Turbidity reduction from ~15–17 NTU to less than 2 NTU in treated zones
- BOD reduction recorded during monitored period
- Supported through IndianOil CSR; joint involvement of OBCC and ICT IndianOil Odisha Campus
Figures represent observations in the project monitoring document and are presented with date and testing context.

- Biological process start-up acceleration and stability improvement
Technology Portfolio
Processes and technologies applied across our projects
Technology selection is always driven by site conditions, water quality data and treatment objectives — not by a preferred product or standard template.
Hydrodynamic Cavitation
Creates and collapses controlled vapour cavities within a flowing liquid. The resulting localised turbulence and energy can intensify physical, chemical and biological processes — improving treatment effectiveness, reducing treatment time or supporting lower chemical dependence.
Biological Treatment
MBBR for compact BOD removal and nitrification using mobile carrier media. MBR for high-quality effluent with compact footprint. SBR for flexible time-sequenced treatment. ASP for conventional suspended-growth applications. IFAS for hybrid attached and suspended growth to increase biomass inventory.
High-Efficiency Aeration
Self-developed aeration systems engineered for oxygen transfer and mixing in biological treatment and water-body restoration. Configuration based on actual oxygen demand, dissolved-oxygen targets, field correction factors, basin geometry and operational constraints.
Floating Treatment Wetlands
Scientifically selected plants and root-zone media providing habitat for beneficial microbial communities. Root and media surfaces support biological transformation and assist in capturing suspended matter. Designed for plant selection, buoyancy, anchoring, spacing, harvesting and long-term maintenance.
Constructed Wetlands
Engineered beds, vegetation and controlled hydraulics supporting filtration, sedimentation and biological treatment. Applied as decentralised treatment, polishing systems or part of an integrated restoration and reuse strategy where adequate land is available.
Groundwater Recharge
Planned after reviewing source-water quality, hydrogeology, infiltration potential, pretreatment needs and local requirements. Systems may integrate rainwater capture, stormwater management, treated-water reuse, recharge structures and monitoring.
